Think Traffic In Foxborough Is Getting Worse? U.S. Census Agrees
The Census released new data Thursday showing the average Foxborough resident spent nearly 34 minutes getting to work.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — If you're on the roads in Foxborough, heading to work, and it's taking a bit longer to get there, chances are you're right. According to new U.S. Census data, the average commute time is longer than it was in recent years.
According to data the Census bureau recently released, Foxborough residents had commute times to work of 33.9 minutes in 2016. That's in line with the overall trend for longer commutes: in 2011, the average Foxborough commuter's trip to and from work was 29.3 minutes.
That's about an extra 4 minutes, 30 seconds on your drive to work. While it might not seem like much, consider two trips a day, five work days per week and 50 work weeks in a year. That 4:30 means Foxborough commuters are spending an extra 18 hours, 45 minutes per year in traffic than they were five years ago.
