Traffic Alert: Over 40,000 Expected for Revolution Match at Gillette Stadium

The Revs' final regular season game of the year takes place Sunday at Gillette Stadium.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The likely final game of the year for the New England Revolution is expected to draw a large crowd to Gillette Stadium.

The Revs say they expect about 40,000 fans Sunday when the team faces the Montreal Impact at 4 p.m. The match will likely be the final game of the season for the team, who can tie the Philadelphia Union on points for the last playoff sport if the Union lose and the Revolution win and beat the Union on goal difference. Currently, the Union have a difference of -1 to the Revolution's -13, making a Revolution postseason nearly impossible.

Due to the large crowd expected at the game, fans should allow for plenty of time to get around the stadium and those not attending should avoid Route 1 and seek an alternative route.
