Upon 90th Birthday, Foxborough's Original Rotary Member Still Helping Others
Kenny Gay was recently honored for his decades of service to the group.

When it comes to helping others, few in Foxborough know more about that than longtime Rotary Club member Kenny Gay.
Gay, who recently turned 90, was honored by the group earlier this month for his decades of service.
The group, known for their mission to fight diseases and provided clean water across the world, has grown quite a bit since Gay helped start the Foxborough chapter in 1970.

“I don’t think we had all the resources we have today, but it was a good bunch of guys,” he said.
Gay recalled the local aspect of the early year, holding pancake breakfasts and casino nights, but the mission has remained the same over the years.

“I think the principals have stayed the same. We have a lot of active people doing a lot of things,” he said.
Despite recently turning 90, don’t expect Gay to slow down anytime soon. A member of the Foxborough community since the 40s, Gay is the oldest member of the Foxborough Rotary and an inspiration for all the members who simply want to help other parts of the world.
“I joined because a couple of my friends asked me to join,” he said. “And I stayed because I like the comradery and all the people that are here.”
