Vince Wilfork Announces Retirement
The man who spent over a decade as a member of the New England Patriots is calling it a career.

Following 13 seasons in the NFL, beloved former New England Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork is hanging up his cleats.
After spending most of 2017 flirting with the idea of retirement, Wilfork made it official Monday, announcing the end of his playing career in a sponsored Kingsford Barbecue video.
Drafted in 2004, Wilfork spent over a decade in New England. During his time in Foxborough, he won two Super Bowls, was named to the Pro Bowl five times, and was named to the team's 50th anniversary squad.

Following the 2014 season, Wilfork spend two seasons with the Houston Texans and appropriately enough, played his last game at Gillette Stadium when the Texans faced the Patriots in the 2016 NFL Playoffs.
He finishes his career with 559 tackles, 16 sacks, three interceptions, four forced fumblers, and 12 fumble recoveries.

For those who want to say goodbye to Wilfork, his farewell tailgate is set for Sept. 7 at New England, according to his retirement video.
