Water Rate Hearing Set for Tonight

For the second year in a row, the board of water and sewer commissioners will consider an increase in the water rates.

Tonight, the board will consider a proposed increase in the water and reuse rates, not to exceed 12 percent, and the town’s private sewer rates, not to exceed 2 percent.

A 6 percent hike in town water rates and a 2 percent increase in sewer rates are being targeted according to the Foxboro Reporter.

The discussion of the proposal will begin at 7:05 p.m. in the water department’s office at town hall.
