Residents are asked to report any occurrences of black water while the Hill Street storage reservoir is rehabilitated.

From the Foxborough Water and Sewer Department:

During the next two to three months, the Foxborough Water and Sewer Department will be drawing down and rehabilitating out Hill Street storage reservoir. This project is vital to the long term use of the tank. The tank has not been worked on for more than 20 years and needs full rehabilitation.

During this period, there is the potential for some black water issues. we are urging residents to report any occurrence of black water and give the address where the problem occurs.

There may also be some variations in water pressure which are quite normal. The pressure in the system will be maintained by our well and treatment plant pumps. Upon completion of the rehabilitation, the tank will be restored to service in ‘like new’ condition. This will help minimized black water issues in the future.
