Wheaton College's Visting Chinese Students Hosted at State House

State Representatives hosted Chinese exchange students at the Massachusetts State House.

Representatives Jay Barrows (R-Mansfield), Elizabeth A. Poirier (R-North Attleboro) and Steven S. Howitt (R- Seekonk) were happy to host several Chinese exchange students last week at the State House that are visiting Wheaton College for the summer.

Wheaton College is partnering with Norton High School students to show the Chinese students what life is like in the United States, and specifically in the Commonwealth.

The students came to the State House for lunch and a tour then spent the remainder of the day touring the city of Boston. Representative Donald Wong (R-Saugus) made a special appearance to talk to the students as he is one of two Asian Representatives elected in 2010 for the first time in Massachusetts history.
