Wrong-Way I-495 Fiery Crash Kills 1, Injures 5
An 84-year-old Foxboro man died in the late-night Taunton crash.

TAUNTON, MA — A fiery late-night crash on I-495 killed an 84-year-old Foxboro man wrong-way driver and injured six others, including two children, police said.
Police said the Foxboro man, identified as Arnold Reda, was driving southbound on I-495 North around 11:30 when his Toyota crashed into two other vehicles, one of which caught ablaze. The Foxboro man was pronounced dead at the scene.
One of the cars was carrying a Foxboro family: A 56-year-old man was driving his 42-year-old wife and 12- and 10-year-old sons. The parents were brought to Rhode Island Hospital and the boys were brought to Hasbro Children's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The other car was driven by a 58-year-old Weymouth woman with a 27-year-old Foxboro woman as her passenger. The passenger was brought to Sturdy Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash occurred near Exit 9 in Taunton, about 100 feet from the Norton town line. The highway was shut down for several hours.
