12 More Framingham Residents Test Positive For Coronavirus
The new batch of confirmed cases take Framingham's total to 172, according to health officials, who said 21 city residents have recovered.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — Twelve more Framingham residents have tested positive for coronavirus, taking the citywide total of confirmed cases to 172, the Framingham Department of Health announced on Wednesday. The numbers of coronavirus-related deaths in the city remains at five and with 21 people having reported recovered from the virus, the city reports it currently has 146 active cases ongoing.
Following guidance from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, city health officials have not released any more information about those who have tested positive due to privacy laws. Once local health officials believe a resident has been potentially exposed to the virus, it contacts the people directly along with businesses or places of employment where the potential exposures took place to inform necessary parties about next steps.
