Framingham Planning Board To Debate 176 Apartments Downtown
The six-story mixed use building would rise at the corner of South and Waverly streets, according to plans.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A famous lot near one of downtown Framingham's busiest intersections may soon sprout a six-story, 176-unit mixed-use development, according to plans filed with the city last month.
16 South Street, LLC submitted plans for the development in mid-May. The building would take over a vacant lot at the corner of Waverly and South streets — just a few blocks east of the commuter rail station, and the busy intersection of Route 135 and Route 126. The lot used to house the Chicken Bone restaurant, which was featured on an episode of Bar Rescue.
"The project consists of 176 residential rental units, 3,120 SF of retail, 216 parking spaces and a full amenity package located on a 1.53 acre site," a description of the projects reads.
