Father, Son Killed In Framingham Shooting
The shooting happened late Friday night near downtown Framingham, according to police.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A father and son were shot and killed in the downtown Framingham area late on Friday night, public safety officials confirmed on Saturday morning. Chief Steven Trask and the Middlesex DA's office said in a statement the deaths were an "isolated incident."
The two Framingham men were shot at around 11:30 p.m. along 2nd Street, which runs through several large apartment complexes south of Route 135 in the downtown area.
Shortly after first responders arrived, James “Manny” Wade, 45, was transported to MetroWest Medical Center where he died. His son, James Wade, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials said the two did not live in the apartment complex where the shooting happened.

The District Attorney said they have not made any arrests related to the shooting.

These are the first two violent deaths in Framingham in 2020, but the second and third since last fall — but all three have taken place in the same apartment complex.

Jamee Maddrey-Ammons, 27, was stabbed to death by a man she was in a relationship with at an apartment off of Interfaith Terrace, which connects to 2nd Street in the Cochituate Cooperative Homes complex. Christopher McKoy, 25, has been charged with her murder.
The three deaths come after a long period with no homicides in Framingham. Before Maddrey-Ammons' killing, the most recent homicide was in 2015 when Michelle Batista was killed in a murder-suicide by her boyfriend, Allen Murphy, 27, at an apartment along 2nd Street.
