3 New Framingham Coronavirus Deaths Reported

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The coronavirus pandemic is continuing to take a toll on Framingham, with the city reporting three new deaths related to the virus since July 1. That brings the death toll to 117 since March.

However, the number of active cases in Framingham was continued to drop. There were 134 cases as of Monday, down from 138 reported on July 1. The city has tracked 1,740 total positive cases since the pandemic began.

Massachusetts entered phase 3 of the coronavirus reopening plan on Monday. Along with that, Framingham reopened City Hall, and both library branches began curbside pickup services.

According to demographic data released by Framingham on Monday, 83 of the city's 117 deaths have been people over the age of 80. Only one person below the age of 59 from Framingham has died of the virus. And, 96 of the city's deaths are connected to some type of long-term care facility.
