5 Graduate From Framingham Veterans' Court Program

The program helps veterans stay out of jail after they commit a crime

FRAMINGHAM, MA- Five veterans graduated from the Framingham District Court's Veterans' Program on Monday.

The program is open to residents throughout Middlesex County and made to help veterans avoid jail time after committing crimes that could be related to the effects of military service, like PTSD. Participants have to make weekly court appearances and the program in its entirety takes 18 months to complete.

The program was launched in 2015. Monday's graduates bring the total number of graduates up to 12 since the launch.
