8th Grade Cheerleaders Capture 2nd Place at NE Championships [VIDEO]
For the first time in the Framingham Youth Football & Cheerleading program's history, five teams (fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grade) competed in the New England Championships Sunday.
For the first time in the Framingham Youth Football & Cheerleading program's history five teams (4th, 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th grade) competed in the New England Championships in Providence Sunday.
The A team, comprised of eighth graders, finished second.
Teams that place first, second or third in the New England competition qualify for nationals in Florida, but it has been the policy of Framingham Youth Football & Cheerleading to only send first place teams to nationals.

The "8th grade cheer team made history by winning 2nd place in the AYFC New England regionals. A first for our program," said Framingham Youth Football & Cheerleading President Ron Vallely. "We are all very proud for a job well done."
Members of the A team squad include: Grace Bailey, Larissa Picard, Cassie Baker, Sara Rodriguez, Jasmine Bushard, Brie Roulier, Sami Bushell, Arielly Santos, Georgia Cullington, Rebecca Schwartz, Lara Dasilva, Marley Sepinuck, Mandy Davis, Julia Silva, Ardealis Decoo, Mirnya Silva Simoncelis, Shannon Dorsey, Leslie Flores, Lisa Gillert, Kirstie Haines, Emily Karger, Amybeth Kerr, Danica Lagman, Alessandra Miranda, Alexis Nichols, Tia Papandrea, Jacky Sosa, Kimberly Stuart, Cassandra Whitney, Chloe Willis, Arria Witty and Cindy Zepeda.

The head coach is Maureen Greenglass Tolan with assistant coaches Kim Zanella, Christine Picard, Lisa Davis, Michele Baker and Tiffany Kane.
