Motorcycle Crash In Framingham Shuts Down Beaver Street

One person was taken to the hospital and at least one car and one motorcycle were involved in the crash.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A motorcycle crash in Framingham shut down Beaver Street and sent one person to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon, according to Framingham police.

The crash shut down Beaver Street at Beaver Park and Leland Street for almost three hours. Police said at least one car and one motorcycle were involved in the serious crash. One person was taken to the hospital.

Police advised commuters to find an alternate route.

Scott Hayes, a witness to the crash, said he was headed home on Second Street after picking up his daughter from the high school when he saw the crash. Hayes is a former EMT and solider who served two tour in Iraq. He jumped into action to help and said he got to the victim about 15 seconds after the crash happened and gave him CPR until first responders got there. Hayes said a DPW worker rushed to the scene at the same time as he did to help.

Police warned parents that school buses were being rerouted and will be delayed. The crash also caused significant delays to multiple MWRTA bus routes on Tuesday afternoon.

The crash delayed Routes 10, 11, and 4 South on the MWRTA bus lines.

The cause of the accident is unknown.
