• Natick MA clerk magistrate reassigned; two others placed on leave (metrowestdailynews.com) — If you have business at Natick or Framingham District Court, be aware the Natick clerk magistrate and two senior staffers are off regular duty, and Framingham's acting clerk magistrate is now covering both courts. The Trial Court hasn't disclosed why the Natick leaders were reassigned or placed on leave, but day-to-day criminal complaint hearings and arraignments will continue under temporary leadership.
   

• New Bedford police officer investigated for allegedly using Flock surveillance cameras to track her ex (boston.com) — Framingham is among several Massachusetts communities that have suspended use of Flock Safety license plate cameras over privacy and data concerns, alongside New Bedford and Salem. The pause comes as a New Bedford officer faces an internal investigation into alleged misuse of the system and the company rolls out new privacy and auditing measures statewide.
