Another World-Flavored Eatery Comes To Framingham: Report
A growing restaurant chain, expected to open a branch later this year off Route 9, will offer 'Chinese comfort food.'
FRAMINGHAM, MA — Eateries are expanding in this city, and now there’s another.
Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings, a New York-based restaurant chain known for handmade dumplings and southern Chinese dishes, plans to open later this year off Route 9, according to the MetroWest Daily News.
The restaurant is part of the Nan Xiang Long Bao brand, which opened its first location in Queens, New York, in 2006. The company’s website says Nan Xiang has been on the prestigious Michelin Guide’s “recommended” list every year from 2009 through 2017.

Nan Xiang currently has 20 locations, including the Framingham site, which would be only the second in New England. The company says its menu represents “authentic southern Chinese cuisine and Chinese comfort food.”
The Framingham branch will take over space formerly occupied by Fresh Market, which closed less than a year ago.
