Ashland Man Charged With Kidnapping And Assault In Framingham
The man held another man in a Framingham apartment against his will and was hit was a bat and cut on his head.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — An Ashland man is facing multiple charges including kidnapping by confinement and assault after he was arrested by Framingham police on Tuesday. Police said Javier Baez, 33, wouldn't let the victim leave an apartment in Framingham and the situation escalated and became violent.
The victim reported the incident to police shortly after it happened on Tuesday, police said the victim and Baez knew each other. Neither the victim nor Baez told police what spurred the incident, but the victim told police he was hit with a bat and cut on the head.
Baez was charged with witness intimidation and destruction of property — police said the wall of the apartment the victim was kept in was damaged. Police are not sure how long the victim was kept in the apartment.
