Beaver Street Bridge Reopens In Framingham
The bridge along a major route in south Framingham closed in April for a complete replacement.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham announced some good traffic news on Wednesday afternoon: the nearly five-month-long closure of the Beaver Street bridge is over.
City crews have wrapped up work building a replacement for the nearly 100-year-old span. The bridge closed on April 20, cutting off a major north-south route between Natick and the downtown Framingham area.
Framingham crews demolished the original 1922 bridge and replaced it with a new concrete structure. The city also added new utility lines, sidewalks and guardrails. There are still some punch list items to complete, but the bridge was ready for vehicles and pedestrians on Wednesday night.
