Kids Coronavirus Vaccine Event Planned In Framingham
Kids from Framingham and other towns age 5 to 11 can get vaccinated at this Saturday event.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A local pharmacy and Framingham Public Schools will team up to host a coronavirus vaccination event this weekend for kids under age 12.
The clinic will be held at Harmony Grove Elementary, 169 Leland St., and will be open to kids from nearby communities as well as Framingham, according to organizers. The MetroWest Pharmacy and the Framingham Coronavirus Community Outreach group are helping to coordinate the event.
A special low-dose version of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for use in kids under age 12. Children and adults over 12 can receive the regular version of the Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson shots (the Moderna version is still only for people over 18).
