1. What would you consider your signature item on the menu?
Chicken Tikka over Rice, Pancake or Crepes with the Samosa appetizer. This dish includes cubed chicken with a red tangy sauce cooked with Indian spice and almonds and served over rice or on top of a pancake / inside crepes with your choice of stuffing. (potato, peas, chickpea, meat, lamb or even crab cake).
2. What the best thing about your job?
The best thing about my job was the learning and teaching experience I received in the culinary world while traveling internationally and nationally to improve my techniques and expertise as a master international chef.
3. What would you have for your last meal?
For my last meal any type of Vindallo. Vindallo is a very spicy hot dish made most commonly with either Lamb, Chicken or Seafood including Shrimp, Salmon, Swordfish or Tilapia. This dish is served over rice with a spicy, sweet and hot sauce. The spice level can be turned up or down for your liking. My personal favorite would be the Vindallo Lamb extra Spicy. A very authentic flavor and texture.
4. What are some of the services/food you offer that people don't know about?
We serve Indian Coffee and tea, Home Ground Fresh American Coffee, 8 Flavors of Richardson Ice-cream, and an assortment of desserts including Cinnamon Rolls, Black Forest Cake and apple pie to name a few of the American favorites. We also serve "Gulap Jumon (a deep-fried ball cooked with sugar syrup flavored with cinnamon and cardamon), Rice Pudding and Carrot Pudding to name a few of the Indian favorites."
5. What do you like most about owning a restaurant in Framingham?
The best part about owning a restaurant in Framingham is because all my life
I was cooking and serving culinary favorites for 6 different cuisines around the world (Indian, American, French, Chinese, Italian and Arabic). I chose to open my own Indian and American food restaurant in Framingham because though born and raised in the city of Kolkata (West Bengal, India) Framingham is close to my present hometown of Ashland and I wanted to bring my international culinary experience for all my new neighborhood friends to enjoy.
