Carlota Velazco Part of Curry College's Into The Woods Show

Carlota Velazco, of Framingham, has been cast as Jack’s Mother in Curry Theatre’s production of Into the Woods.

Velazco, daughter of Ernesto and Mayda Velazco, is a senior criminal justice major at Curry College.

She has previously been seen in Curry Theatre’s production of Trojan Women, Guys and Dolls and Is He Dead. She has also served as House and Box manager and Sound Manager on the Curry Theatre’s Supervisory Board.

Enthralling audiences since its Broadway premier in 1987, Into the Woods intertwines the stories of the most beloved Grimm’s fairytales and explores the consequences of getting exactly what you wish for. With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine, Into the Woods is sure to make you think twice before you utter “I wish.”

Into the Woods will run Thursday, Dec. 11 through Saturday, Dec. 13, at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee on Sat., 13 at 2 p.m. The performances will be at Curry College, in the Oscar B. and Frances A. Keith Auditorium at the Academic and Performance Center on the Milton Campus, 1071 Blue Hill Avenue, Milton. Tickets are $10 and may be reserved at 617-333-2259.
