Classes Canceled In Framingham For Second Day Due To Storm

The city plans to resume other operations tomorrow after a major winter storm hit eastern Massachusetts.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Public schools will close for a second day on Tuesday as the city shovels out from a major winter storm that raged throughout Monday.

The storm brought nearly 3 feet of snow and hurricane-force winds to some parts of Massachusetts. In Framingham, 14 inches of snow had fallen by early evening.

Besides canceling classes for the day, the city had shuttered most of its offices and banned parking along more than two dozen snow removal routes.

The ban will end at 7 a.m. Tuesday and municipal offices will reopen during the morning, the city said in a statement Monday afternoon. But the school cancellation will continue.

Tuesday will be Framingham's fourth snow day of the 2025-26 school year.
