Framingham Parking Ban Continues Amid Winter Storm
Parking is temporarily prohibited along more than two dozen city streets and roads.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — A major winter storm that began pounding eastern Massachusetts Sunday night will keep vehicles off Framingham streets until at least Tuesday morning.
Forecasted to bring up to 30 inches of snow and 75-mph winds to some parts of the state, the storm downed power lines and left more than 240,000 Massachusetts customers without electricity by 9:45 a.m. Monday.
Like many communities, Framingham canceled school for the day and temporarily shuttered non-essential city offices. To assist with snow removal, the city has also prohibited parking along more than two dozen roadways (see list below).

The ban will remain in effect until 7 a.m. Tuesday “and may be extended depending on storm conditions,” officials said in a statement.
Framingham customers of utility Eversource on Monday appeared to be relatively unscathed by power outages, with only a small fraction losing electricity, according to company reports.

But snow was mounting. By late morning, Framingham had received more than 11 inches of the white stuff, the National Weather Service said.
