The Framingham Department of Public Works has shut down the section of Edmands between Nixon and Barnbridge Circle — a private road about 1,000 feet west of Nixon — for an emergency culvert repair. The repairs began at 7 a.m. Tuesday and will could last a full week. The closure will be in effect 24 hours per day. Framingham drivers coming from east of the culvert can take Nixon Road to Route 20 and then head south using Farm Road and Parmenter Road. Drivers coming from near Eastleigh Farm and Southborough can use the same detour in reverse. The closure does not affect the Callahan State Park central parking area off of Edmands Road.
