Man Taken To Hospital After Fire In Framingham

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A resident of a Framingham Housing Authority apartment was taken to the hospital Tuesday morning after a fire broke out inside his John J. Brady Drive home.

Framingham firefighters responded at around 8:30 a.m. to 3 John J. Brady Drive, and were able to extinguish a fire burning in an apartment kitchen in about 10 minutes, according to Chief Michael Dutcher.

The man living in the apartment was removed via a rear window, and then taken to Framingham Union Hospital for treatment. No firefighters were injured.

The accidental fire caused about $30,000 in damage, and residents in seven other nearby apartments were temporarily displaced.

Firefighters from Ashland, Sudbury and Wayland provided coverage for Framingham during the incident.
