FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham Patch is sponsoring a public forum on Wednesday facilitated by the Framingham Public Library to discuss ballot question No. 3, a proposal to adopt the Community Preservation Act.

The CPA adoption question is one of the few major local election issues this year, and is generating lots of questions from voters on how the CPA will work at the local level. To answer those questions, the Wednesday public forum will feature Bruce Easom, chair of Groton’s Community Preservation Committee.

Groton adopted the CPA in 2004 with a 3 percent surcharge. Framingham is proposing a 1 percent surcharge.
