Framingham Back-To-School Traffic: Navigating McCarthy And Fuller

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Back-to-school is always a stressful time but kids at McCarthy Elementary and Fuller Middle Schools have some extra hoops to jump through — or at least their parents driving them do. Construction on the new Fuller Middle School disrupted the usual pick-up and drop-off routine at both schools.

The McCarthy and Fuller Schools Parent Teacher Organization put together an informational guide on the most efficient ways to get kids to and from school, no matter how they're traveling.

Here's a breakdown of how to get to school this year:

Walkers

To McCarthy Elementary School

From Warren Road, walk down the back path and use door #11 to enter the building.

From Normandy Road, cross by the crossing guard at Normandy Road and Flagg Drive. Use door #4 to enter the building.

From Oak Road, walk along Flagg Drive and enter through the main entrance.

To Fuller Middle School

From Warren Road or Normandy Road, walk down Flagg Drive, but stay to the right. Once you get to Fuller, stay to the right and approach the doors using the sidewalk between the building and the bus lane.

From Oaks Road, walk along Flagg Drive and stay to the left.

Drop-off by Car

To McCarthy Elementary School

Drivers should approach from Oaks Road onto Flagg Drive. Go past the main entrance and turn right into the new school entrance just after Normandy Road. Teachers will help students into the building.

To Fuller Middle School

Drivers should approach the school from Normandy Road or Warren Street and drop kids off in front of the school in the slip road of Flagg Drive. Students can use the pathways to get into the building.

By School Bus

To McCarthy Elementary School

All buses will enter the main parking lot and pull up in the lane closest to the building. Bus students will use the main entrance to get into the building.

To Fuller Middle School

Students will be dropped off by the bus in the lane closest to the building. They will enter Fuller at 8 a.m. and go straight to their homerooms.

Visitors Driving Into The School

To McCarthy Elementary School

Drive into the main parking lot and park in the visitors parking spaces. Walk your child into school.

To Fuller Middle School

Drive to Fuller through the Normandy/Warren Road direction and park in the visitor parking lot in front of the school. Escort your child into the building through the main entrance.
