Framingham Church Offers Vaccines, Boosters At Clinic
Head to the Greater Framingham Community Church this weekend for boosters and initial vaccine shots.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A Framingham church will host a coronavirus vaccine event this weekend with booster shots and first rounds of vaccines for residents age 5 and up.
The vaccine clinic at Greater Framingham Community Church, 44 Franklin St., will run from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday. The clinic will feature the low-dose pediatric version of the Pfizer vaccine for kids between 5 and 12, plus boosters for anyone over 18 who was fully vaccinated more than six months ago.
The clinic comes as coronavirus cases are on the rise in Framingham and across the state. Last week, Framingham added 118 new cases — only the second week since March when cases have been so high.

At the same time, the COVID-19 omicron variant was confirmed on Saturday in a Middlesex County woman. Health experts aren't sure how well vaccines will protect against omicron. But state officials said on Saturday the vaccine is still the best protection against a virus that has killed 254 Framingham residents and more than 800,000 Americans so far.
Register for a vaccine booster for the Sunday clinic here. You can also call the church at (508) 626-2118 for more information.
