Framingham Coffee Company Celebrated at Manufacturing Ceremony
Framingham Business Celebrated at Annual Manufacturing Award Ceremony Hogan Brothers Coffee nominated by Rep. Lewis & Robinson

October 21, 2021 (Framingham) On September 28, the Massachusetts Legislature's Manufacturing Caucus hosted its 6th Annual Manufacturing Award Ceremony at Polar Park in Worcester, MA. The ceremony honored manufacturers from across the Commonwealth to showcase their innovation and impressive products.
This year Representative Jack Patrick Lewis and Representative Maria Robinson came together to nominate a local coffee roasting company, Hogan Brothers Coffee Roasters. This Framingham based coffee roasting company was founded in 1996 by brothers Jim and Jay Hogan. The two brothers started roasting coffee when interest in microbrewing was in its infancy in Massachusetts.
“Hogan Brothers Coffee Roasters are a wonderful example of a local business taking an extra step of care and pride in their product to perfect every small detail. Hogan Brothers want to produce the best coffee not only for its taste but also its impact on the wider world. They aim for a business model that goes beyond the industry practices, by making sure their bean purchases come from cooperative businesses that demonstrate care for every worker from sprout to pour,” Representative Lewis noted. “This care builds great confidence in the many local businesses' that sell Hogan Brothers coffee in their stores. Local business helping local business! I am so grateful for the energy Hogan Brothers Coffee literally brings into our community.”
Representative Robinson added, “We are so grateful that small businesses and manufacturers have found new ways to thrive throughout the pandemic. Many know Hogan Brothers from having coffee at Dulce d Leches or J&M Diner, but hopefully this award will help expand its brand recognition beyond Framingham's borders.”
Formed in August 2014, the Manufacturing Caucus includes more than 60 legislators from around the Commonwealth. Lawmakers focus on training for manufacturing employees; encouraging innovation by helping start-ups access resources; and expanding apprenticeship opportunities in key manufacturing sectors.
