Framingham Coronavirus Cases Rise By 24 Over Weekend
Framingham has added a total of 92 new cases since Sept. 11, according to health officials.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham added 24 new coronavirus cases over the weekend, city health officials reported on Monday. With that increase, Framingham has added 92 cases since Sept. 11.
On top of the new cases, the daily average number of new cases increased to 12.11 per 100,000 residents. At the same time, the city's 14-day positive test rate fell from 3.17 percent on Sept. 14 to 2.88 percent.
With the new cases, there are now 135 active cases across the city, plus 83 people who are under quarantine. Framingham did not report any new deaths over the weekend.

The new increase comes as Framingham remains a high-risk community. State outreach teams fanned out across the city for the second week in a row in an attempt to education residents about how to stay safe from the virus.
