Framingham Coronavirus Updates: $8K Medical Supply Donation
Framingham State has made a large donation to hospitals in Natick and Framingham as medical supplies run short due to coronavirus.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham State University donated about $8,000 in medical supplies to the MetroWest Medical Center on Wednesday. President Javier Cevallos said the school was responding to a call for supplies from local hospitals.
The MetroWest Medical Center, which includes Framingham Union and Leonard Morse hospitals, is in the midst of supply shortage, Cevallos said.
"I’m so proud of the efforts of our faculty and staff who jumped into action when we learned about the severe medical supply shortages that hospitals and medical centers are facing," he said in a news release. "We all need to be looking out for one another at this time."

The supplies might otherwise go unused this semester — Framingham State will begin all-online learning beginning on March 30.
