FRAMINGHAM, MA — A section of the Cedar Woods reservation in Framingham was fenced off on Wednesday after soil tests found elevated lead levels, according to the city Department of Public Works.

The affected area is near 618R Waverly Street at the northwest corner of the wetland near Mellen Street. There are no homes near the area.

A contractor tested the soil for Framingham between April 6 and 8. The contractor notified city officials on June 3 about the lead hazard in that part of the reservation.
