Framingham High Marching Band Wins Competition

The Framingham High Marching Band won the Division 2 category at a competition over the weekend.

The Framingham High School marching band was named best overall in Division 2, at the New England Scholastic Band Association’s competition in Melrose over the weekend.

The Flyers had the best overall score in Division 2 with 75.90 points.

The Framingham High marching band also had the best percussion scores and best music scores of the bands that competed in Division 2.

Framingham Patch contacted Band Director Brian Cervone for more details on the win over the weekend; and will update this report when he responds.

This weekend, Framingham High and Framingham Parks & Recreation will host a New England Scholastic Band Association (NESBA) competition at Bowditch Field.

The 2nd Annual NESBA Festival takes place Sunday, Oct. 5 at 1 p.m.

Nine this year’s top high school marching bands from around New England are scheduled to compete, including Framingham High.

The public is invited to attend. Admission is $10 adults, $8 seniors and students and kids age 5 and under are free.
