Framingham Man Drowns At Learned Pond

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A 50-year-old man drowned at Learned Pond on Wednesday. Police said the man was swimming in an area of the pond that was not monitored by lifeguards and far from the designated swim area.

The call came into police at 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday from the man's friend who was with him. When police arrived on scene the man was on the bank of the water, he was taken to the hospital.

Framingham police said the man was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Framingham and State Police are still investigating the incident.
