Framingham Police Seize Over 300 Grams Of Fentanyl, 1 Charged
A person once connected to a Framingham street gang is facing drug trafficking and possession charges.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — A recent Framingham police investigation resulted in the seizure of nearly 450 grams of drugs and a "large sum of cash," police announced.
Police executed a search warrant last week which resulted in the seizure of 335 grams of fentanyl, 100 grams of cocaine, one gram of meth and what officials said is a "large sum of cash."
James Salvi, 37, is charged with trafficking fentanyl and cocaine and possession of methamphetamines with intent to distribute.

According to the MetroWest Daily News, Salvi also had outstanding district court warrants charging him with kidnapping, assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery and harrasment.
The Daily News added that Salvi isn't unfamiliar with law enforcement, having been part of a street gang called the Kendall Street Thugs. He pled guilty to gun charges in 2008, and was sentenced to a decade in federal prison.

He was held without bail at a court hearing on Wednesday, and will appear again in court on Jan. 12.
