Hood Cream of The Crop Cooking Competition With Chef Chris Coombs Saturday
Chef Coombs also will be conducting meet and greets, answering questions, providing cooking tips and leading short cooking demonstrations.

HP Hood® is sponsoring the “Cream of the Crop” cooking competition at the Framingham Food Truck Festival, as part of MetroFest on Saturday, Sept. 20.
Participating food trucks will submit their best recipe featuring Hood Cream and a panel of esteemed judges, including Chef Chris Coombs, will choose a winner at 3 p.m. to receive a $1,000 cash prize, along with the title as Hood Cream’s “Cream of the Crop” champion.
Coombs is chef/owner of Boston-area award-winning restaurants Boston Chops, dbar and Deuxave.

“I am honored to be a part of this competition and share my expertise with consumers, event attendees, and fellow chefs,” said Coombs. “I love cooking with Hood Cream in my restaurants and am intrigued to see what delicious recipes the food truck chefs will create.”
In addition to the competition, Chef Coombs will be conducting meet and greets, answering questions, providing cooking tips and leading short cooking demonstrations.

Here is the schedule for Saturday:
- 11 a.m. – Judges begin tasting dishes entered in the Cream of the Crop competition
- noon – Judging ends
- 1:30 p.m. – First live demo and meet and greet with Chef Coombs and radio personality Candy O’Terry
- 2:30 p.m. – Second live demo and meet and greet with Chef Coombs and O’Terry
- 3 p.m. – winner of the “Cream of the Crop” competition revealed
Hood Cream will feature a fun and interactive booth including complimentary coffee with Hood Cream, photo booth, prize wheel and giveaways on Saturday too.
More than two dozen food trucks will be attendance for the first-ever MetroFest Saturday, Sept 20 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Bowditch Field in Framingham. The event, organized by the MetroWest Visitors Bureau, happens rain or shine.
Admission is $5 for guests ages 13 and up, a$2 for children ages 5-12, and free for children ages 4 and under. Pre-order tickets by clicking here.
