The annual Helping Kids in Need Auction raises funds to provide direct impact financial assistance for local kids and families at the YMCA.

The MetroWest YMCA held its 9th Annual Helping Kids in Need Auction Thursday night at the Verve Crown Plaza in Natick.
MetroWest YMCA Board Member, and President of Herb Connolly Acura of Framingham, Chris Connolly chaired the auction that raises funds to provide direct impact financial assistance for local kids and families at the Y.
Magic 106.7’s David O’Leary, a Framingham resident, was the auctioneer for the event.

There was a silent auction and a live auction.
One of the live auction items was having Framingham State Rep. Tom Sannicandro prepare a multi-course meal for four individuals, with wine pairings, in your home.

Another live auction item was four tickets to a Red Sox-Yankess game in 2015, donated by Connolly. There were a couple of 4-ticket Celtics packages to bid on, as well as four club seats, with a parking pass, to the Patriots-Dolphins game at Gillette Stadium in December.
Among the silent auction items included wine bottles, a Coach bag, sports items, foot baskets, memberships and hand-crafted wooden items by long-time YMCA member H. Clifford Lundblad. Included among the handcrafted wooden items was a rocking horse for a toddler and one for a preschooler.
As of midnight Friday, the YMCA, located in Framingham with a branch in Hopkinton, had not determined how much was raised. last year, $37,500 was raised at the 8th annual auction.
