IMAGE GALLERY: Once on This Island at Fuller Middle

Fuller Middle School students staged two performances of the musical Once on This Island last week.

Unfortunately, the third and final performance on Saturday night was cancelled, due to the weather.

Ticket holders who could not attend Friday evening’s show can get a refund of their ticket purchase.

Once on This Island, was first staged on Broadway in the 1990s. It does the tale of a peasant girl using love to bring people together despite their social status.

Once on This Island has a long musical history in the Framingham Public Schools.

It was first produced in 2008 at Framingham High School. This production was the recipient of the North Shore Music Theatre Spotlight Award for Best Production. It was also revived in August 2010 as the production that was taken to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with 80 students.

Since then, the musical has been produced at Cameron Middle, Walsh Middle last year, and now Fuller Middle.

Teri Shea directed and choreographed the production. She is the new theatre director at the middle school.
