Injuries Reported In Framingham Fire: Fire Department
One person needed to be rescued while others were injured in a weekend fire, officials said. No people were displaced, however.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — One person was rescued and several people were injured during a Satruday Nicholas Road fire, officials said.
Officials received a call around 3:30 a.m. reporting a fire at 72 Nicholas Rd. Additional calls were received as officials were heading to the scene, confirming the fire.
The fire was inside a six-store highrise, which prompted officials to upgrade the response to a second alarm, which brings all on-duty Framingham fire companies to the scene.

One person needed to be rescued from inside the building, officials said.
"On arrival, quick action resulted in a civilian being rescued from the fire apartment and the fire being knocked down and isolated to the apartment of origin," fire officials said. "Additional rescues, from several floors, were made by crews due to the significant amount of smoke in the complex."

Companies continued to work for several hours to make the building safe, clearing out the lingering smoke, they noted.
Some occupants were injured, but none were displaced due to the fire.
