Jury Adds Vehicular Homicide Charge In Framingham Crash Case: Report

A man from Framingham now faces two felony charges in connection with the deadly 2025 accident.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A Framingham man faces an additional felony charge related to a 2025 accident in which his car struck and killed a woman on Route 9, the MetroWest Daily News reported.

A Middlesex County grand jury has indicted Stewart Anderson, 45, of vehicular homicide caused by negligence and operating under the influence of drugs, and leaving the scene of an accident causing death or serious injury.

Julie Stewart, 41, appeared to be crossing the road near the Renaissance Hotel at 10:25 p.m. on May 25 when she was hit by the car Anderson was driving, prosecutors said. He fled but was later found at home and arrested for leaving the accident scene.

The jury added the charge of vehicular homicide, the Daily News said, and handed up the indictment for both charges on Thursday.
