Man Who Fired Gun At Framingham Lounge Hit Police Dog During Arrest: Cops
Multiple charges were filed against the man suspected of firing the gun, who was set to be arraigned this week.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham police have released new information about an arrest stemming from a report of shots fired at a Framingham lounge on April 7.
Police responded to the area near 135 Restaurant & Lounge, 672 Waverly Street, around 6:10 p.m. on the report.
When they arrived, police were directed to a suspect who was in the back seat of a pickup truck parked on Bridges Street.

Police said they gave the suspect several direct commands with "no response or compliance." Then, police fired a "less than lethal shot gun" which broke the truck window "in order to view the suspect."
The suspect, who has yet to be named, continued to refuse to comply with the officers and, police said, kept one of his hands concealed.

A police dog was eventually deployed and, during the apprehension attempt, the suspect struck the dog several times, police said.
The suspect was eventually taken into custody and police found a loaded gun and a second magazine in the vehicle.
No one was injured as a result of the shots fired, police said.
Charges were filed for injuring or interfering with a police dog, two counts each of possession of a large capacity feeding device, possession of ammunition without an FID card and carrying a loaded firearm without a license. Other charges include receiving a firearm with a defaced number, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building and disorderly conduct.
