Man Who Told Bush About 9/11 Attacks To Speak In Framingham
Former Bush administration chief of staff Andy Card will speak at Framingham State University before the 20th anniversary of 9/11.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — It was one of the most unforgettable sights on a day full of horrific images: former president George W. Bush reading a book to a classroom of children while the 9/11 attacks unfolded. At one point, a man in a suit stepped in to whisper in his ear, delivering news that a second plane had just hit the World Trade Center in New York City.
The man who delivered that message, Bush's former chief of staff Andy Card, will visit Framingham State University in September as part of a series of events commemorating the 20th anniversary of 9/11.
Card served in the Bush administration until 2006 when he left to become an administrator at Texas A&M University, and then later served as president at Franklin Pierce University. Card, a Brockton native, was also instrumental in selling the Iraq war following the terror attacks.

Card's visit will be the focal point of several weeks worth of events happening on campus to commemorate the attacks. The series begins on Sept. 6 at the Henry Whittemore Library Gallery with an exhibit of 9/11 images and concludes on Sept. 11 with a theater performance at the Amazing Things Art Center in downtown Framingham.
