Math League Award Winners
Four elementary students were honored this week for getting the top scores in Framingham Public Schools Math League competition.

Four elementary school students were honored at the Framingham School Committee meeting this week for earning the top scores in the Math League competition.
Honored were:
- Albert Guo, a 5th grade student at Wilson Elementary
- Samuel Moffat, a 4th grade student at Barbieri Elementary
- Nikita Bhatnagar, a 4th grade student at Hemenway Elementary
- Caroline Laird, a 4th grade student at Hemenway Elementary
Math League us sponsored by the Framingham Public School's Gifted and Talented (SAGE) Department and is open to all students in grades 4 and 5.

The goal of Math League is to build student interest, confidence and stamina in critical thinking and creative problem solving strategies in response to complex math problems through ongoing, reflective practice.
This culminiates in students participating in the written Math League competition of 30 multple-choice items to be solves in 30 minutes.

Top scorers in each grade level were awarded a certificate of achievement and a Math Contests book at each school.
