Framingham Mayor Teases New School, Community Center In Tripoli, Coburnville

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Mayor Charlie Sisitsky paid a visit to a Coburnville-Tripoli Neighborhood Association meeting on Monday, giving a speech and also dropping a few nuggets about new developments coming to the area.

Among those developments include an upcoming purchase of Marian High School this month, which will be used "for a city-wide community center that will benefit the entire community."

The city is also set to purchase the Bethany property this year, officials said, with plans to use the property for a neighborhood elementary school.

Other updates included Sisitsky stating he "intends" to construct three splash pads on the south side of Framingham and a new accessible dock and traffic calming measures in the Lake Waushakum area.
