MBTA To Continue Buses From Framingham Station Into July
A project to install a train control system will inconvenience Worcester Line riders for more than a week, the MBTA said Thursday.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Worcester Line commuter rail riders will be inconvenienced — more than usual — for at least another week.
The MBTA said Thursday evening that buses will continue to replace trains between Framingham and South Station through "at least July 5." That's because a project to install a new train safety system will take longer than usual.
The delays began on Monday morning when the MBTA suddenly replaced trains with buses between Framingham and South Station after more work was needed to install positive-train control equipment. The MBTA has been working on installing the new safety system for much of the winter.

The shuttle buses will stop at every station between Framingham and Back Bay, except Boston Landing and Landsdowne. Trains will still run between Worcester and Framingham.
Update: The Worcester Line PTC implementation work has been extended through at least July 5. Buses will continue to replace all train service between Framingham & South Station during this time. We will provide additional updates as the work progresses. Details pic.twitter.com/rdIXsFUpKL
