MetroFest: First-Ever Art, Music and Food Truck Festival Coming to Bowditch Field
Mark your calendar for Saturday, Sept. 20 for a celebration of food, music and art.

MetroFest will be held Saturday, Sept. 20 at Bowditch Field in Framingham, as a celebration of food, music and art from throughout the state’s MetroWest region.
The first-ever regional cultural festival features the Food Truck Festival of New England, two stages full of non-stop performances, more than 100 vendors and a kid’s area.
The event, produced by the MetroWest Visitors Bureau, starts at 11 a.m.

The Framingham Food Truck Festival will roll into Bowditch Field with more than two dozen food trucks will participate including Benny’s Crepe Café and Trolley Dogs, both based in Framingham.
Trucks will be serving Asian fusion, local seafood, BBQ, gourmet grilled cheese, homemade ice cream and more from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This week, the MetroWest Visitors Bureau announced key sponsors of MetroFest 2014..
The event’s title sponsor is Middlesex Savings Bank and main stage sponsor is Distinctive Hospitality Group/SKYBOKX 109.
There will be lots of music. Headliners include John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band; Steven Smith & the Nakeds; and the Nina Torres Band. Thanks to the sponsorship of Distinctive Hospitality Group/Skybokx 109 Gastrosports.
Attendees can watch a beer-making exhibition by Jack’s Abby Brewing and celebrity chef Chris Coombs.
Take a ride in a brand-new Lincoln while it parks itself. Framingham Ford Lincoln will donate $50 for each person who test-drives the self-parking car. These donations will go to a special grant fund to support arts and culture initiatives in MetroWest.
On the community stage, attendees will find music, theatre, and dance performances representing each of our partner municipalities.
And there will be a lot of free kids activities including bounce houses, face-painting, obstacle courses, and more.
MetroFest 2014 is priced affordably - admission fees are $5 for guests ages 13 and up, and $2 for children ages 5-12. There is no charge for children ages 4 and under.
The event is rain or shine, and tickets can be purchased online at metrowestvisitors.org/metrofest-tickets.
