Motorcyclist In Framingham Crash Died: DA

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Officials confirmed on Wednesday that the motorcyclist involved in Tuesday afternoon's serious crash on Beaver Street died. Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan released a statement identifying the motorcyclist as 21-year-old Evan Maillet of Franklin.

The crash happened at about 4 p.m. on Tuesday and shut down Beaver Streetat Beaver Park and Leland Street for almost three hours. The DA's office identified the other car as a Ford Ranger SUV and said the driver stayed on scene. The driver was not identified but the DA's office said no charges have been filed.

Scott Hayes, a witness to the crash, said he was headed home on Second Street after picking up his daughter from the high school when he saw the crash. Hayes is a former EMT and solider who served two tour in Iraq. He jumped into action to help and said he got to the victim about 15 seconds after the crash happened and gave him CPR until first responders got there. Hayes said a DPW worker rushed to the scene at the same time as he did to help.

The crash is still under investigation.
