Murderer Of Framingham Teen Is Up For Parole: Report

The man convicted of killing Kimberly Bolton in 1996 has already tried four times to obtain parole.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The murderer of a 17-year-old Framingham girl is seeking parole Thursday – for the fifth time – but her family says he should remain behind bars.

Kimberly Bolton was killed Aug. 10, 1996, by Damien Lockhart, who was convicted of second-degree murder and sentenced to prison in 1997 with possible parole after 25 years, according to the MetroWest Daily News.

Lockhart, now 52, beat the teenager to death with a rock after attempting to rape her near the Waverly Street train station.

At his most recent parole hearing, in July, Lockhart said he was high on crack and killed Bolton because she was going to call police.

The parole board deadlocked on a decision but acknowledged that Lockhart had tried to reform his life while in prison.

However, Bolton’s family says that doesn’t warrant parole, and is urging the public to write the board about the tragedy. Comments are accepted for two weeks following Thursday's hearing by the Massachusetts Parole Board.
