MWRTA To Boost Service As Coronavirus Pandemic Eases
MWRTA will return some service along three popular routes starting on June 1.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — MWRTA will boost service on three popular lines beginning June 1 following a slowdown this spring related to the coronavirus pandemic.
Routes 2, 4, and 10, which serve Natick and Framingham, will all see an increase in frequency during peak morning and evening commute times. MWRTA has reduced its service to about 50 percent during the pandemic, but will gradually restore service through Phase 4 of Gov. Charlie Baker's reopening plan, which is expected to begin sometime in mid-July.
The MBTA is expected to restore some service, including along commuter line, beginning when Phase 2 starts, on June 8.
